Until the trekkers reach the Tengboche there are high choices ranging from luxury to basic lodging. However, beyond Tengboche every trekker has to stay in the limited teahouses. As the altitude rise the lodging facility becomes more basic. However, there are new teahouses with attached bathroom and free internet which was earlier needed to pay.

Regarding the meals’ availability there are numerous menu choices. The agency however recommends you to have soupy and basic food along with plenty of water. There are various cuisines which you can order for the meal like continental, Chinese, local and Indian. Heed the instructions of the trekking guide while choosing the menu items as you might end up paying high for the food items which are cheaper in city areas. The places are inaccessible and all the food items need to be carried either by helicopter or mule. Therefore, it is expensive. With the evening free, feel free to explore the lively streets of Thamel and pick up any last-minute items you may need.

Wake up morning then heading to Airport for the 35 minute scenic flight to Tenzing and Hillary Airport at Lukla at 2804meters. After landing we have time to explore the village while our Sherpa crew sorts and loads our trekking equipment. Then we begin our trek by descending towards the Dudh Koshi River where we join the main trail to Namche Bazaar, located just above Chaunrikharka (2713m). The walking is easy and after passing through the small village of Ghat (2550m) it is a short walk to Phakding. Overnight at Guesthouse.

We continue trekking along the banks of the Dudh Koshi, crossing this majestic river many times on exciting suspension bridges laden with prayer flags. After entering Sagamartha National Park, the trail climbs steeply with breathtaking views. Namche Bazaar known as the Gateway to Everest is home to many quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchanges, internet cafes and bakeries. Namche is one of the biggest villages along the whole Everest trail. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Relaxing day in Namche Bazaar. We will spend a day here in order to acclimatize and adjust to the thinning of the air, as well as a short trek where a museum is celebrating the traditional customs of the Sherpa people. Today we hike up the Syangboche Airport around Everest View Hotel. From this point, we can see rewarding views of the Himalayas with stunning sunrise and sunset over the panorama of Khumbu peaks. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Today we trek to Tengboche from Namche Bazaar. The trek continues along the rushing glacial waters of the Dudh Koshi with magnificent views of the mountains. We trek to an altitude of 3860 meters. On reaching Tengboche you will see the local monastery. Inside the monastery are incredibly ornate wall hangings, a 20-foot sculpture of Buddha, and the musical instruments and robes of the Lamas. The group will be taken to observe a prayer ceremony either in the evening or morning depending on how the day’s trekking went. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Wake up early in the moning then having breakfast then trek to Dingboche. From Tengboche the trail drops to Debuche, crosses another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja Khola, and climbs to Pangboche amongst thousands of mani stones. Our uphill trek continues, taking us to the quaint traditional Sherpa village of Dingboche with its exquisite views of Lhotse, Island Peak, and Ama Dablam. We take our time so we avoid getting affected by the altitude. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Today you can enjoy another day for acclimatization. We will have a trip to Nagarjune hill to get a marvelous view of the surrounding mountains, especially Lhotse’s massive south wall, then return to Dingboche in the evening. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Having breakfast then heading to Lobuche.Today, the trail continues along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and passes by stone memorials for climbers who have perished on nearby summits. We continue to climb as we are heading to the altitude of 4910 meters at Lobuche which is really just a few huts at the foot of giant Lobuche peak. Some breathing problems may arise today due to the altitude. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Let’s experience the most adventurous day.Its a big and difficult day walk along the Khumbu Glacier and up to Everest Base Camp at 5365 meters, the closest you can get to Mt. Everest without mountaineering equipment. There will likely be a team about to attempt the summit. The view of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular. We return back to Gorak Shep for the night. Overnight at Guesthouse.

The trail climbs 2/3 hrs. up to Kala Patthar (5545 m/18192 ft) early in the morning to see first day sun light from top of the world (Mt. Everest) This is milestone of the trek to inspect panoramic view with the fantastic sunrise over Mt. Everest, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Khumbutse, Changtse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nupte, Mt. Ama Dablam and many more After accomplish Kala Patthar, trek down to Gorakshep and retrace down to Lobuche. After Lunch, the path to Dzonglha branches off from the main trail some distance from Lobuche. After crossing a stream we come through a fork and later curving round to the wide gravelly river bed of the stream as it flows southwestward, the trail runs across it and climbs the ridge ahead. From the grassy ridge ahead, as the trail runs across to southeast from where we can see soaring heights of Ama Dablam and Kangtega-Thamserku while Tawache looms prominently ahead. Pheriche village is also visible down in the valley floor. As the ridge veers northward, the vast Cho La Lake spreads below Mt. Cholatse . The lake stays with us over a long stretch until we descend to a wide basin. The trail climbs up a spur and descends steeply to another broad basin. After an hour walk transverse from the basin and shortly after crossing a wobbly bridge, we reach Dzonglha.

Early morning as we get out of our lodge we are greeted by the mesmerizing sight of Cholatse looming over. Today is going to be one of the toughest days of our trip. The walk begins as we transverse through a spur extending westward from Dzongla. The path descends to a basin across which meanders a murmuring stream crusted with ice at places. In about an hour, we reach the top of the basin readying for the triumph on ChoLa. As we gain height, the view back gets increasingly more captivating; the Cho La Lake begins to appear and the Ama Dablam in its pyramidal incarnation presides over a range of mountains on the south as Cholatse soars on the west. Climbing the incline is not easy; it is steep, but made worse by boulders over some of which we will have to scramble. We need to be alert as rocks can be glazed by ice. The final climb to the ChoLa can be a little tricky as the trail curves round the bergschrund. Upon reaching the top, we see prayer flags, strung across cairns, flapping in the strong wind. Scenery of majestic peaks in all directions is breathtaking. Although long, the path leading down to Thangnak can be easily made out from the pass because it is just decent but can be hazardous if rocks are glazed by ice, a bit of cautiousness is needed. We reach Thangnak, a rather more substantial hamlet with a small village. Stepping out of the settlement, we are greeted by fabulous mountain views. The trail brings us to the Ngozumpa glacier edge after short walk, which is longest glacier in Nepal. Reaching the other side of the glacier, we get view of the second of the Gokyo lakes on the series of six lakes. A short distance away is the third Gokyo Lake. On the edge of this lake stands the Gokyo Village where we finally give rest to our tired body.

The views in the Gokyo region are tremendous. For the best view, climb Gokyo Ri (5350 m) the small peak above the lake. The peak of 5350m is sometime called Kala Pathar (not to be confused with the Kala Pathar above Gorakshep, though the view is similar) It is a two- hours climb to the top of the peak, providing a panoramic view of Cho Oyu, Gyanchung King, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cholatse, Tawache and many more. Those with more time and energy can make a trip up the valley to another lake, marked with the name Ngazumpa on the maps, or even beyond to a fifth lake. There are several small peaks in this in this region that offer vantage points for the surrounding peaks and views of the Nangpa La, the old trade route into Tibet.

After spending time over Gokyo village, you will pack your bags and get ready to trek back to Dole. Trekking back will be easy than before and under the beautiful nature, it gives you enjoyment. Overnight in Dole.

Dole to Namche Bazaar will be a longer trail. To keep up you need to during water to be hydrated. You will witness the incredible Himalayan vistas around while you trek back. At Namche Bazaar, you don’t feel to stay in the hotel room because of the beauty of the town(3,450 meters). So, enjoy the town and explore the market. You will be staying the night in the hotel of Namche Bazaar.

As you know the trail is too long to reach Lukla. You need to start trekking early so it will be much easier in trails. During your trek, the trail will be not so crowded and porters will not be waiting for you on the trail. You can have your launch at any place you want while trekking back.

After trekking the whole day, Lukla will be a pleasant place to rest. Lukla may be a small town but, you will still find amazing hotels, cafes and shops to get the necessary goods.

It is the final day in Everest base camp trek. If the weather is good, you will catch your flight early morning and get back to Kathmandu. Some times with bad weather your flight may be delayed as well. After you landed at Kathmandu, we will escort you to the hotel in a private vehicle.

Our airport team will assist with your check-out and take care of your luggage to ensure a smooth departure. Whether you're headed home or continuing your travels elsewhere, we'll make sure you leave Nepal feeling well taken care of and with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
